Planning for Micah's birthday party took a lot of work. We spent all of sunday running to walmart, party city, and sams for food, ice, and decorations. The theme was super heros...I asked on the invites for the kids to bring their super hero costumes or capes for a group picture if they have one. No one did but what can you expect? Asians aren't into theme parties. But Micah was all suited up early Sunday morning and fell asleep right before everyone started to arrive.
The kids had so much fun on the moonwalks. Kenzie has been asking to have her next bday party at chuckie cheeses but after this weekend she now wants her's at grandma's house with the moonwalks also.
Today is our 7 yr anniversary. What did we do?...go to work...picked up the kids...came home...i folded 2 baskets of laundry and gave Paxton his bath...Lam helped Micah put his helicopter lego together then put Kenzie to bed. Life with kids.
Tomorrow is the October kit release at the scrap-room so check back to see my DT layouts.

Soccer Time
Soccer season has started. This is Kenzie's first time at micro soccer, since her cousin plays it, she's all about the game except she calls it playing "goalie" instead of soccer. The coaches are two volunteers so they ask the parents to really stay and help out. When you're dealing with 20 three and four year olds...it's quite an evening of coaching and repeating and trying to make the kids focus. Micah gets to play along too, he was too young but since they don't take roll call and he's just as tall as some of the other kids, no one knows the difference and he's actually quite coordinated and good at kicking the ball...and he gets all excited after kicking it into the net.
This is the card I made for my card swap. Not exactly my favorite, I have a hard time coloring stamped images in without them looking like a preschooler did it so i tried stamping on PP.
We just got back from a quick weekend trip to CA to visit my uncle for his 10 year anniversary. I didn't take many pictures but the kids did. I'll try to upload for later this week

3 firsts
We just hung out at home for Labor Day. I spent the entire weekend cleaning the house and it just took the kids 10 minutes to put it right back in it's shambles. *sigh*
Paxton made three frist's this past week:
1) First time rolling over - he sleeps a lot on his tummy and now he bunches his legs up and when he get's his arm under him he pushes over to his back.
2) First time sleeping in his crib - Lam finally set up his old crib that Makenzie had when she was a baby. Since Pax is sleeping thru the night really good, we've set him up in Micah's room.
3) and the last Frist....is sucking his thumb. Yep, he joined the thumb suckers club with his big sister and brother. He's mastered it well, I tried to give him the binky last night but he didn't like it as well.
Micah playing soccer with the boys at Uncle Southine's house.
and here's Kenzie getting another pedicure from her auntie.

TSR Debut
1.) Bella Boulevard camped Out - my double page layout with this kit will be featured in the recipe card. I added the flowers and leaves to the card.
2.) Sassafras Lass Vintage Yummy - I had fun hand drawing and cutting out the clouds. The green letter stickers were in last month's kit. I tried the ribbon paper folding that I"ve seen and love the look! My new technique I tried on this page was to use a Heidi Swapp polka dot mask and 2 different colored chalks, yellow and orange for the background behind the journaling area. I then added a bit of green metallic rub-on around some of the dots to give it some shadow and to match the paper :)
3.) Cosmo Cricket Boyfriend - Love it, these were super fun papers and I'm glad I have extras in my stash to create with. For this layout, I knew I wanted to use the cute quote on the strip of paper so I started with it and worked around the layout.
4.) And the last line is Pink Paislee Fetching - I love the embellishments that came with this kit, the clock and the ruler ribbon were perfect for my Baptism layout.
Be sure to check out what the other awesome design team members did with their http://www.scrap-room.com kits. Just click on ideas.
Made these altered composition books. You can get them at Target for 50 cents each and just spice them up with your leftover scraps and you've got something cute to record your daily notes and ideas. I'm going to use this to record all the things my kids say that I always seem to forget when I sit down to make a page. This was the first one I made and I loved the way it turned out so I just duplicated it above.

Back to School
Kenzie's first day of Pre-K and look who wanted to come along... Micah is soooo ready to start school but he missed the cutoff by about 6 weeks so he'll have to wait another year. He loved going to school with sister, he played in the doll house, sat down for circle time while her teacher read them a couple books, sang the elephant and tiny Tim song, said their prayer, and he got mad at me for not remembering his folder and backpack when it was time to go home. And this little cutie has been so much fun. Paxton smiles and coo's all the time. The only thing he doesn't like is riding in his carseat. It's a pitching scream every time.
I am so lucky to finally have a good sleeper. Kenzie and Micah are terrible..even still but this little guy will go for 7-8 hours now with no problems. Then in the morning when we lay him on his back he'll just watch his animals in his pack and play while we get ready for work.
This past weekend we went to KC to watch my nephew play soccer. We stayed at the Hampton I think it was. I'm so used to staying in cheap motel 6 type of hotels whenever we are out of town. But this place was so cool...very modern designs. I was inspired by the colors and art work. We are sporting a new/older vehicle now. Going to trade the Lexus for this minivan. We are officially a big ole family.

Pool Par-tay
This past weekend we were invited to a pool party for a friend's birthday. The kids still have not gotten enough of swimming even though their skin is charcoal now, they didn't want to leave the water! Kenzie is so good at swimming short distances now. Here they were playing with my friend's daughter Allyson.
We also went school shopping for supplies as Kenzie will start one week from tomorrow. It's hard to bring 3 kids with you to the grocery store or any store for that matter. Micah will ask where we're going...if we say target or walmart then he'll say..."and buy one toy for me". I managed to get his mind off of picking out a toy by letting him choose a $7 backpack, but at the checkout he remembered and said, "mommy, where is my toy?" Walking out of the store pushing the cart as fast as we could I told him "oh, mommy forgot, next time honey. So the whole ride home and a few days later he repeats...next time we go to walmart, don't forget my toy!" He doesn't even want anything in particular, as long as it's something for him.
