We took a 4 day vacation out to Colorado to visit my sister for her baby shower. Left after work on Friday night and arrived at 1:30am the next morning. Day 1: We went shopping at Castle Rock then to the Acquarium.
Kenzie got her ears pierced at Claires. I was so proud of her, I've always wanted her to be able to wear earings since she was 3 months old but Lam always talked me out of it becuz he didn't want her to be forced into it. But when I asked Kenzie if she wanted to, she said yes so it was a right then & there decision and she didn't even flinch. I was scared for her though, I hate needles and pain but I asked them to do both ears at the same time so they counted to 3 with her and it was done just like that.
Kim & Ryan's townhouse has a long walking trail around the lake with a playground so we took the kids several times. Uncle Ryan helping Micah ride the pole.
Aunt Kim just got back from a trip to San Franciso and bought Kenzie this little purse from Chinatown and Micah a little wooden lizard. Except Micah wanted the purse, he kept calling it his "backpack" and wore it around his arm the whole time.
We went swimming one night, usually Micah does not like getting into the pool but he had fun splashing that night.

Paddle Ride
Our neighbors are the nicest people. They were spraying down their paddle boat last week while me and the kids were outside and saw how interested Micah was and so yesterday they knocked on our door and said they just got back from riding on it, it is docked in the water and ready for us to use. Micah had a blast! Kenzie not so much because I had to wake her up from her 7:30pm nap.

Wedding of the Century
Kenzie trying to push Micah in his 4-wheeler
Kenzie listening to my ipod shuffle
Kenzie on the dance floor with all the other kids. She picked out her own shoes from Walmart. Had to have the Dora explorer sandles and had to wear it with this dress.
Chomping on some chocolates that were in our favor bags.
Yesterday was Amy's wedding and I was quite impressed. She had 8 bridesmaids and a huge turnout at the reception. When we checked in we got table tents with our names and 3 goodie bags. One filled with chocolate, one toddler bag filled with stickers, activity pad, scribble, cubex, and a round spinning globe that lights up, and an infant bag that had a rubber ducky teether, animal book, play phone, and bathtub fishy. They even got served chicken fingers, fries, and fruit cup for dinner while we had our filet mingon and chicken breast. It was the most kid friendly wedding I've ever been to. Kenzie loved getting on the dance floor, they did all kinds of games and songs for the kids: limbo, hokey pokey, macarena, YMCA, and of course the chicken dance. The little girls were going up to Micah to give him hugs and hold his hands, he did his fair share too but was to fast for my camera.

The big 3-1!
Another year come and gone. I had a decent birthday celebration yesterday. Lam surprised me with an ipod shuffle. Since I've started up running recently I searched forever around the house for our old walkman & couldn't find it. This thing is pretty slick if only I knew of what good songs to download. My only favorite song that I could listen to over and over is Bleeding by Leona Lewis but other than that I don't know of any good songs. Would love to hear your suggestions.
My coworkers decorated my office, got me a plant and took me out to lunch. I was kinda disappointed that I hadn't heard from my mom all day. She never NEVER forgets our birthdays. And I always get a cake from her every year. I was feeling left out but at 7pm she called me at home and said they were on their way over. So I did ended up getting an 8" strawberry cake. Micah loved sticking his fingers in the creme. Kenzie wanted to play dressup last night so we all put on our dresses and danced around the house. My sister got me an Archiver's gift certificate, whoo hoo! Some fun shopping. Thanks to all the birthday blessings from my on-line friends too.

Poolside
This is where we've been almost every single day. My nephews call me up and ask us to take them to the pool. I got Kenzie that ugle dora deep scuba diving looking outfit so that she can go in the deep end with the boys. It's hard for me to keep track of 6 kids in the water when only 2 of them can swim. She loves to be able to jump right in. Micah is all about sitting on that blow up shark and squirting water. The boy just likes water and getting wet period.
