I managed to squeeze in two layouts last weekend. The photos are a year old, glad I got them scrapped. I dug out my Tim holtz flower dies for this one and grabed a mix of different scraps. Slowly making a dent.

Purse gift card holder tutorial
Hello there, been a rough busy month so going to start sharing some older projects I never got around to posting. This tutorial was my last DT assignment for 3SB. I've had a great time being on the design team but looking forward to the break of kit deadlines and enjoying the summer with my kids.
With the end of school year approaching along with graduations and celebrations for gift giving, I thought this quick and easy purse gift card holder would come in handy. The best part is all it requires is a few things from your scrap pile.
SUPPLIES:
3 Scrappy Boys March 2012 Trio Kit
My Minds Eye Diecut Sheet: Notes bracket journaling box
Multi Chevron: 5.5”x
6”
Nostalgia: 3.5”x 3.5”
Ribbon 10”
Button
ASSEMBLY
INSTRUCTIONS
Cut
around the MME bracket journaling diecut to use as a template.
Trace
it onto the Nostalgia 3.5” x 3.5” piece and cut out. (Spellbinders Label One shapes also works well or any bracket shape from your supplies)
Next score the bracket shape at 1 ¼” on both sides and fold at score lines.
Fold Chevron 5.5” x 6” piece in half on the longer 6” side so now your folded piece is 5.5” x 3”.
Line up the scored bracket piece which is the top of your purse onto the middle of the folded bottom half, then cut about 1.25”at a slight angle on both top sides.
With a corner rounder, punch the bottom edges of the purse.
Next adhere the top piece onto the back of the bottom piece on the scored line.
Punch two holes on the edges of the scored middle section and tie your ribbon onto it.
Add a button to the front and embellish to your desire.
To keep the purse from opening, adhere some velcrow, magnet, or foam pop dots under the flap.Adhere a gift card inside and it’s ready to go.
