I'm back from my TSR retreat. I had a wonderful time, lots of laughing, lots of shopping, lots of chatting with some great friends, lots of eating, and lots of scrapping done.
I won the name tent challenge! Whoohoo, got a cool prize too...a package of the new American Crafts gel thickers and some neat KI memories ribbon.

PageMaps Contest
I love pagemaps, they now have a blog with a contest to celebrate. This is my take on the sketch. Didn't have my camera at the time so my sister took these pics on her camera phone. I do realize I spelled Bungy wrong but i had already put down the thickers and decided to leave it as creative titling.

Favorite pics
Just some of my favorite pictures taken this week. I am sooooo jealous of all the mom's who have kids that sleep by 9pm or earlier. My kids have been staying up until 12pm this week. Crazy! I still have to pack for my retreat next week and finish up posting 3 assignments for my class.
Micah said the 3 words I've been waiting to hear for ever to me this week, he said "I dub boo" while I was laying him down for his nap this weekend. It was so sweet and unexpected. Kenzie is not a very cooperative subject for my camera anymore. The only pictures I get is a hand covering the face.

July layouts
This layout was inspired by one of Shannons (2kidsandsomepaper blog). I notice she uses these stick pins on almost every layout she creates and I'm getting to really like that trend.
Papers from Cocoa Daisy - Journaling is about how Kenzie's imaginary playmate has always been Abigal but now she has a 3rd named Tanna. Even Micah calls out to Tanna.
This layout was inspired by Jana's Summer Night layout (Frommyfeatherednest blog)
I found out last week that this layout I submitted was chosen to be displayed in Taryn's scrapbooking retreat house, the Hamburg Hideaway (see link on the right). I was so excited and honored. There were a lot of very good entries and winners.

Happy 4th
Our neighborhood gets together every year for a parade. We walk the few blocks from the old pool to the new swimming pool and then gather for donuts. Last year I pushed both kids in the double stroller. This year Kenzie could ride her bike the whole way even though she complained about getting tired. Micah had his motorized 4-wheeler but he needs more help on pushing the button and steering. I had to push his behind the whole way there. We were bringing up the rear of the parade 15 minutes after everyone had already arrived and finished eating breakfast. We lit firecrackers at my in-laws.
I'm into week 4 of my photographer's workshop. Learning a TON but I still have a lot of practicing to do before I get good crisp photos. I have been on a ban from using the auto buttons ever since week 2. The creative modes are harder to control because there's so much thinking and adjusting...especially when I've had my camera set on auto for 3 years and my subject matters don't sit still for more than 2 seconds.
Back from Vacation
We took a 4 day vacation out to Colorado to visit my sister for her baby shower. Left after work on Friday night and arrived at 1:30am the next morning. Day 1: We went shopping at Castle Rock then to the Acquarium.
Kenzie got her ears pierced at Claires. I was so proud of her, I've always wanted her to be able to wear earings since she was 3 months old but Lam always talked me out of it becuz he didn't want her to be forced into it. But when I asked Kenzie if she wanted to, she said yes so it was a right then & there decision and she didn't even flinch. I was scared for her though, I hate needles and pain but I asked them to do both ears at the same time so they counted to 3 with her and it was done just like that.
Kim & Ryan's townhouse has a long walking trail around the lake with a playground so we took the kids several times. Uncle Ryan helping Micah ride the pole.
Aunt Kim just got back from a trip to San Franciso and bought Kenzie this little purse from Chinatown and Micah a little wooden lizard. Except Micah wanted the purse, he kept calling it his "backpack" and wore it around his arm the whole time.
We went swimming one night, usually Micah does not like getting into the pool but he had fun splashing that night.
